Mayo Electrical were asked to install window and blind automation including small power supplies to window and blind boxes, as well as providing ongoing maintenance for the B&Q corporate hub headquarters.

Working alongside main contractor Sir Robert McAlpine, our client Sommer Engineering of Germany, specialist automation equipment by STG Beikirch Germany.

In this project we carried out installation and network wiring of the blind and window boxes, including the installation of structured cabling containment and small power supplies.

The system links local windows and blinds to the building management system (BMS) enabling local ventilation throughout 400 windows and 800 solar reflective blinds therefore reducing the buildings carbon footprint with the use of natural ventilation.

The project was started in 2009 and we provide ongoing maintenance as of 2014.
